How it all began…
Art Coast Properties was born out of necessity: necessity for an elevated, short-term rental experience. One that marries the luxuries of staying at a 5-star resort with the homey-ness of a vacation rental. We’ve been fortunate enough to travel far and wide, both nationally and internationally, staying at some fabulous hotels and many short-term rentals. Through our experiences, we realized there was a stark difference between staying at a luxury hotel and staying at a short-term property rental. But why? Art Coast Properties came to fruition when we realized we don't have to sacrifice the luxuries of staying at a high-end resort while wanting the privacy of staying at a private home. Taking notes from swanky resorts in Bangkok to quaint bed and breakfasts right here in the States, we have compiled some of our favorite luxuries and have implemented them into this booming short-term vacation rental industry.
Why Southwest Michigan? As Midwesterners, we have been graced with the beauty of Michigan all our lives. After many weekend vacations to Saugatuck, we realized this is not only where our business is needed but where we want to build a life. Its many attributes make it ideal: the community is vibrant and inviting, the natural beauty is plentiful, and it’s in close proximity to both Detroit and Chicago. Our goal is to bring an elevate the vacation rental industry by infusing our level of standards and hospitality here in Southwest Michigan. Originally from Chicago, they have always been in love with Michigan’s Art Coast. So much so, they even got married right here in Saugatuck! Joe and Philip are gurus of property management, hospitality, and interior design. Lovers of travel themselves, Joe and Philip know the highest standards of luxury in the business. Their meticulous attention to detail is what sets them a cut above the competition.
If you’re lucky, you might catch them in town singing karaoke at the local pub. Make sure to say hi, but don’t say anything about their singing voices. They’re working on those.
