We Michiganders like to hold up our hand and point to where we are located within the state of Michigan. If you do that you will find the part of the hand that contains "the hook of the hamate bone" and BAM! That's how we got the name! Hook of the Hamate is located in the beautifully lush town of Fennville. Sprawling farmlands lead you to believe you are miles and miles away from civilization, when in fact you are mere minutes from some of the best culture Michigan has to offer! This area has been developing over the years and has quickly become a hotspot on the travel map, with its cute cafes, delicious restaurants, abundance of wineries and breweries, and plentiful orchards.

Only 4 miles up the road you land in the darling towns of Saugatuck & Douglas. These sister towns have a storied history of incredible beauty, divine cuisine, and a killer art scene. From small businesses that have been operating for decades to fresh, new popups, there is something for everyone in this thriving cultural center voted Best Beach Town by Midwest Living Magazine.

The nearby Oval Beach is only 10 minutes away, and Conde Nast Traveler has ranked it in the top 25 best shorelines in the world! That's right, the WORLD! State-known hiking and biking trails fill the area, and gorgeous state parks with majestic forested dunes line the shoreline. There is no shortage of incredible offerings no matter what you're into. Chill at the house and take in the peaceful surroundings, head into town for shopping and dining, hit the trails and immerse yourself in nature, or bask on one of the many beaches along the shoreline. We'll be right here waiting for you!

We hope you never need to cancel your time away, but in the event that you do, guests are advised that any cancellation prior to 30 days will result in a $149 processing fee or 3.9% of the total reservation, whichever is greater. Cancellations between 7-30 days prior arrival date will result in a 50% forfeiture of total reservation plus $149 processing fee. Cancellations within 7 days of arrival date will result in a 100% forfeiture of the total reservation. We recommend securing your trip with a travel insurance company should the need to cancel your reservation occur outside of the allotted window.

Your pup is on vacation too and we want them to be just as spoiled and comfortable! Each of our Pet Friendly Properties has a doggie basket filled with Food & Water Bowls, Waste Bags, Waterless Pet Shampoo, a Doggie Towel, Spot Remover, and some Treats. Please make us aware of your pets visit so we can prepare the property for them. Our Pet Fee is $145 and will be added to the total for the reservation.
